Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a several thousand year old medical treatment that spans across many Asian nations. It is a painless tool that helps to stimulate the body’s own natural healing resources.
Facial Rejuvenation
Facial Rejuvenation acupuncture and cupping is a non-toxic, minimally invasive way to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, sagging skin, and dark marks. This treatment works in a series of ten treatments to increase circulation and collagen production in the face.
Chinese Herbs/Dietary Supplements
Chinese herbal medicine may be prescribed during your treatment as a way for the benefits to continue more effectively after the procedure. Taking Chinese herbs or dietary supplements at home will increase the body’s natural healing resources with fewer negative side effects than pharmaceutical drugs.
Nutrition Counseling
One of the best ways to correct and prevent disease is by eating a clean, well balanced diet, which will create balance in the body. Just like Chinese herbs and dietary supplements, proper nutrition can spark the body’s natural healing resources.
Cupping
Cupping is an ancient modality used to stimulate blood flow when the flow has slowed down or stopped. It is often used in pain and orthopedic cases. Cupping can leave bruise-like marks where the cups are placed for 3-5 days, but no bruise-like pain is associated with the marks. Cupping may or may not be used during your treatment, and your practitioner will discuss with you if she thinks you would benefit from this type of treatment.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion or “moxa” is the use of an herb that is burned near the body to create heat and increase circulation. Moxibustion is a painless procedure and will never be used to cause marks or scarring. Moxa may or may not be used in your treatment depending on the condition you are being treated for. Your practitioner will discuss with you prior to using moxa if she believes you will benefit from it.
